Hotel of the Month: Nobu Hotel Madrid, A New Capital Address

1 September will see Madrid welcome the latest addition to one of hospitality’s most recognisable portfolios. Nobu has long understood that a hotel is more fun when the restaurant is every bit as important as the rooms, and its first address in the capital is no exception. Joining sister Spanish properties in San Sebastián, Barcelona, Marbella and Ibiza, the opening brings the brand’s particular mix of serious food, seductive design and late-night energy.

An eagerly awaited opening in a city increasingly known for its cultural and luxury credentials, Nobu Hotel Madrid is positioned between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol, among the galleries, historic streets and literary heritage of Las Cortes.

Designed by Studio Caramba, the hotel’s 50 rooms and suites are calm, grown-up retreats, led by top-floor Nobu Suite, with over 100 square metres of living space and a private terrace. Expect warm woods, organic fabrics, deep green accents and softly layered lighting. Floor-to-ceiling windows keep the capital firmly in view, while thoughtful extras include Nobu Signature Beds, Nespresso coffee machines and BYREDO bathroom products.

Of course, nobody books Nobu purely for an early night. Madrid’s first Nobu restaurant, where hotel guests receive priority access, will extend across three levels alongside a bar and lounge. GRONDA is behind these interiors, bringing subtle Japanese references, natural materials and a sense of quiet sophistication.

Then there is the rooftop bar, with panoramic views across the skyline and every chance of becoming one of Madrid’s most popular places for sunset drinks.

A dedicated wellness area, indoor swimming pool, spa and Technogym fitness centre provide the perfect counterbalance.

Should an extra incentive be required, Nobu Hotel Madrid is offering €100 dining and beverage credit on bookings made before 30 September, for stays through 31 December.
